    1. Educational Objectives

    Editor Note: This program aims to foster students to both master theoretical knowledge and use it into practice.

    • The Electronic Science and Technology program prepares graduates with a strong theoretical foundation and a broad range of knowledge.
    • Among the many topic areas in the curriculum are electronic engineering, electromagnetic fields and microwave techniques, micro-electronic technology, and computer communication technology.
    • Students gain theoretical knowledge and design experience, developing skills in systematic analyzing, synthesizing, creative problem-solving, and communicating.

    Editor Note: After graduation, students mainly work in manufacturing and communications organizations and companies.

    • Graduates can work in a wide range of areas, such as communication engineering, electronic engineering, computer communication, satellite communication, mobile communication, and radio & TV broadcasting.
    • Among the major employers are electronic manufacturing firms, communications companies, public utilities, oil companies, and transportation companies.

    • Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) was founded in Yanan in 1940.
    • BIT is a national key university, an open, international and research-oriented university of science, engineering andhumanities with scienceand engineering as the focus.
    • BIT is one of the first universities to run a graduate school and receive privileged fund from the central government inthe 7th, 8th and 9th Five Year Plan.
    • BIT is also one of the national Project 211 and Plan 985 universities receiving preferential support from the state.

    6. School of Information and Electronics, BIT

    Editor Note: Founded in 1953, School of Information and Electronics is one of the olddest schools of BIT.

    • The School of Information and Electronics of Beijing Institute of Technology was formerly known as the Department of Electronic Engineering (the fifth department) of Beijing Institute of Technology.
    • Originally founded in 1953 as the Radar Design and Manufacturing Department, it became the Department of Radio Engineering in 1956.
    • It was renamed the Department of Electronic Engineering in 1971, and was finally restructured into the School of Information and Electronics (the fifth school) in 2008.

- Requirement
  • High school graduation or equivalent to a Chinese high school graduate;
  • Efficient Chinese language skills (4 grade of HSK or above) or efficient English language skills (TOEFL 80 or IELTS 5.5).
  • With age 18 through 30.

Note: Native English speakers or graudates from high school where English is an official teaching language are exempt from TOEFL or IELTS.

2. Permission from the previous university for transfer students

If you are a current student at one of China’s universities, please present a certificate agreeing to your transfer from its office of international students.

3. Statement of Purpose / Study Plan


4. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (printed by Chinese quarantine authority)

The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form.

5. Financial support statement

Photocopy of the financial support statement with signature or provide a bank deposit certificate.

6. Guardianship certificates

Applicants with age under 18 are required to have a guardian in China. Guardianship certificates must be submitted

7. TOEFL or IELTS scores

If you don’t have any TOEFL or IELTS scores, please submit a statement of purpose composed in English.

8. High school graduate certificate

Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.

9. High school academic transcript

If you have also attended any secondary or post-secondary schools, please send us the transcripts of the schools that you have attended.

10. Passport photo

A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant

11. Photocopy of valid passport

Including the valid visa page if you are already in China.
