ECUST-UC Joint MBA (in English)
- General Information

    Brief Introduction

    East China University of Science and Technology and University of Canberra signed the joint education agreement in July 1999. Graduates will be awarded MBA degrees from University of Canberra . The award is recognized by US, Europe, Australia and international organizations. It has the same qualification as the one awarded in Canberra.

    Teaching Objective

    MBA Degree for foreign students aims to train high-level and specialized personnel with a good command of basic theories and systematic professional knowledge, and understanding of the frontier trends in the profession in all kinds of enterprises and various areas.

    Courses Structure

    The joint MBA is a two-year program with 12 core courses and 3 elective courses, taught by both UC and ECUST faculty. ECUST delivers another 3 pre-MBA courses for a well-prepared study. The program is part-time study on Sundays. An MBA degree will be awarded by University of Canberra (UC) when the required credits are completed.

    Orientation Lecture The lecture gives fresh students a brief intro of the city, and offers a chance to get to know each other. The lecture is usually given by our coordinators, whom the greenhands could turn to when in trouble.

    Application Procedure

    1. Fill in the application form in Oct , then go to the university personally to confirm on the spot, take pictures and pay application fee with your Application No (we email you), ID, original graduatio cetificate in November 10-14 .
    2. Then print the Admission Ticket in January and take the preliminary test in January . Check the examination result in the middle of March. If passing, you need to take the second interview between March and April . You need to take physical examination in the middle of April .
    3. After you get the preliminary admission, you will need to complete the political examination procedure and sign a training agreement etc. The university will send the Amission Notice at the end of June . Students need to register at the beginning of September. The university will cancel your admission if two weeks later without reason.

    Accreditation

    The school is now heading for Associate of MBAs Accreditation and EQUIS Accreditation , and ECUST-UC joint MBA was awarded “Top 4 of Joint MBA in China” in 2005.

- Requirement
  1. Aged between 18-35;
  2. Be in good health;
  3. ELTS 6.5 or TOFEL 80 (Internet-based) or GMAT will be preferred;
  4. Bachelor's degree/diploma (English version) issued by accredited educational institution.
  5. At least 3 years full-time work experience

1. Health certificate

Photocopy of notarized foreigner physical examination record (for durations of study over 6 months)

2. Personal Statement

Personal Statement with the applicant's signature, written in Chinese or in English.

3. Work Experience

at least 3 years full-time work experience certificate

4. Letter of recommendation

From professor or associate professor or equivalents

5. English proficiency test certificate

For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English.

6. Bachelor's degree diploma

Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.

8. Passport photo

A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant

9. Photocopy of valid passport

With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included

10. Recommendation letter from employer
