Summer Chinese Language Program(Above 16)
- General Information

    1. Program Introduction

    Editor Notes: The length of the program is 3 to 7 weeks.

    • Each week has 20 teaching hours.
    • Each morning (8:30-11:50) from Monday through Friday has 4 teaching hours.

    2. Curriculum and Activities

    Courses: Mainly Chinese courses including Listening Comprehension, Conversation and Reading.

    Courses load: 20 teaching hours per week, 4 teaching hours each morning (8:30-11:50), Monday through Friday. Also available are elective courses such as Chinese Economy and Culture, Chinese Calligraphy, Taijiquan (shadow boxing) and Chinese Wushu.

    Activities: ① Inner city tours are offered once a week (scenic spots, museums, acrobatics etc.) ② Weekend tours are available at students’ own expense.

    Detailed dates are available in the acceptance letter. Application period: ① By completing all application procedures and paying application fee before 20th May, the applicant can get JW202 form and the acceptance letter from us. ② After 20th May, the applicant can only get the acceptance letter by fax or email and therefore shall apply for a visa to China by himself/herself.

    • The University has compiled and published a series of Mandarin Chinese textbooks to be used by non-Chinese speakers.

    • The University has set up a powerful digital audio-visual database containing multimedia resources in foreign studies.
    • There are 11 highly regarded and rigorously peer-reviewed academic journals being edited and published currently by the University. â€‹
