- General Information

    1. Training Goal

    Editor Notes: This program will cultivate students with a lot of professional skills.

    • Have a good understanding of systematic knowledge of International law, including public international law, private international law and international economic law;
    • Be able to discuss and analyze particular kinds of international disputes via employing relevant knowledge and skills;
    • Be able to understand the dispute resolution of international law as well as the latest developments of international criminal law and international human rights law;
    • Have a good understanding of China,  containing Chinese laws, politics and economics.

    2. Program Introduction

    Editor Notes: This program is developed to provide students with a good understanding of legal knowledge across a broad spectrum of legal issues in a global context.

    • ​ Students can learn the language and history of China.
    • To immerse themselves in Chinese culture and learn the role of law as well as politics and business in contemporary China.
    • To sharpen students' knowledge and understanding of international legal acumen and to improve their skills in cross-culture communication.
    • The program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in an international arena, allowing graduates to work in the fields of law at both the domestic and international levels.
    • The duration is 4 years full-time.
    • Excellent students will be granted Bachelor Degree of Law in law in the field of International law.

    4. Zhejiang Gongshang University Scholarship

    Editor Notes: ZJGSU provides three types of scholarships for new applicants and students who are studying on the campus.

    Editor Notes: ZJGU has become one of the provincial top universities in the fields of economics, management, law, literature, history, philosophy, engineering, science and arts.

    Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZJGU) , is located in Hangzhou, a beautiful city which has a long history in China and was inscribed on World Heritage List by UNESCO in 2011. The history of ZJGU goes back to 1911 when it was named "Hangzhou Business School", which was one of the first business schools in China.     6. School of Law

    Editor Notes: School of Law is a pioneer of providing legal education in Zhejiang Province.

    • The School was ranked 1st as the main law school in the region of Zhejiang Province.
    • To be selected as one of 58 educational bases from approximately 700 law schools nationwide.
    • The educational base is to cultivate outstanding students’ innovative capability of applying laws to identify and resolve various complicated issues in practice.
    • Master of Law Programs (LL.M.) and Juris Master Programs (J.M.) are offered.
    • The School pays attention to international research and exchanges.
    • The School has cooperated with some universities and institutions.
    • Have joined an experiential education project called "Legal Clinic and Advocacy Education" as a partner school in China.

    7. Faculty

    Editor Notes: The School has 99 full-time faculty members, among whom are 19 full professors and 37 associate professors.

    • More than half staff members have been studying and doing research in oversea countries.
    • 15 teachers have earned doctoral degrees or master’s degrees from some internationally renowned universities.
    • The number of faculty members ranks top 10 law schools in China.
    • Lots of law professors and scholars from the United States and the United Kingdom are guest professors to teach courses in the fields of foreign laws or comparative laws.

- Requirement
  • Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.
  • Applicants for bachelor's degree studies must have high school certificate.
  • Applicants (except for English native speakers) must have TOEFL test score 90 (or above) or IELTS test score 6.5 (or above) or have other related certificate of English language proficiency.

2. 2 photos

Which size is as the same as in passport.

3. TOEFL or IELTS or other English Learning Certificate

English proficiency test certificate.

4. High school graduate certificate

Certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.

5. Foreigner physical examination report

It is required during application.

7. Guardian’s Letter of Guarantee

Applicants who under the age of 18 until 1st September of 2014 should submit Guardian’s Letter of Guarantee; guardian must be adult Chinese person or adult foreigners resided in China.
